A Plus Moving & Storage Pricing
We publish ranges. We give binding quotes. The price we put in writing is the price you pay — even if the move takes longer than expected, even if the truck has to wait, even if the weather slows the trip. No surprise fees.
Our pricing philosophy
Most movers send a “non-binding estimate.” That number is just a guess — the real bill arrives after the truck is loaded and you can’t walk away. We don’t work that way. Our quotes are binding: the number on the contract is the number you pay, regardless of what surprises come up during the move.
What’s included in every quote
Loading & transport
Crew labor at pickup, dedicated truck, fuel surcharge, mileage. Same crew the whole route — no subcontracting.
Unloading & setup
Beds reassembled, furniture positioned, basic placement at the new home. Not just dropping boxes at the curb.
Basic protection
Standard 60¢/lb liability included. Full-value protection optional (priced separately, no surprise).
COIs & HOA paperwork
Certificates of Insurance for 55+ communities, gated buildings, NYC co-ops, condo HOAs — we file it, you don’t pay extra.
Date guarantee
The pickup and delivery dates we agree to are the dates you get. If weather or hours-of-service rules cause a delay, we communicate proactively.
Live customer support
You can reach a real person 7 days a week. No call centers, no chatbots before move day.

What affects your final price
- Distance. Linehaul mileage is the single biggest factor. We use FMCSA tariffs as the base.
- Inventory weight. Heavier loads cost more. We weigh trucks at certified scales, not by your “guess.”
- Access at both ends. Walk-ups, narrow streets requiring shuttle trucks, long carries from truck to door.
- Date. Friday/end-of-month and June–August peak season run higher. Mid-month, mid-week runs lower.
- Packing level. Self-pack is cheapest. Fragile-only pack adds ~$200–$500. Full-pack adds $400–$1,400.
- Specialty items. Pianos, gun safes, pool tables, oversized art — flat-rate add-ons per item.
Zero surprise fees
Our binding quote means the price we give you is the price on the final invoice. Always.
Pricing questions
Do you require a deposit?
No — we don’t take cash deposits over the phone. That’s a major moving-industry red flag. You pay at delivery.
What if my inventory is bigger than estimated?
If our binding quote was based on your inventory list and the actual load matches, the price doesn’t change. If you added significantly more items after the estimate, we adjust by published per-cubic-foot rates — with a new written quote you approve first.
Are your prices negotiable?
Our base pricing is competitive and fair. We’ll match a written binding quote from any FMCSA-licensed carrier of equal credentials. We won’t race-to-the-bottom against unlicensed brokers.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card, ACH/wire, certified check, or cash. Payment due on delivery, before unloading begins.
Is full-value protection worth it?
For loads with significant fragile or sentimental value, yes. Standard 60¢/lb caps at minimal payout per item; full-value covers replacement cost. We price it transparently per $1,000 of declared value.
